The Armfield Farm Stingrays Swim team is a great activity for kids during the summertime. It is a positive, safe environment that leads to everlasting friendships, sportsmanship, and advancing individual swimming skills. If your child is age 5* – 18, and would like to join in the fun, the Stingrays look forward to meeting you!
The summer swim season includes practices, meets and many social events. We work hard on our swimming skills, but we also have a lot of fun. Our season lasts from just after Memorial Day through the end of July. The first practice for NEW swimmers is Tuesday, May 31st from 5-6:15 PM. During the first practice, we ask parents to attend an information meeting. At this first practice, the swimmers and parents will meet our coaching staff, and the parents will get a general overview of the team, meet the Board members, and have the opportunity to ask questions. Practices will continue Monday through Friday in the afternoons until the last day of school. After school ends, practices will be in the mornings. Meets are Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings, beginning on June 25th.
Social events run throughout the season. We rely on parents to volunteers and require your full participation and support in order to be able to run our team effectively. We have plenty of volunteer opportunities, there is something that fits everyone’s skill set and schedule. (Little known fact – it takes over 50 parent volunteers to run a swim meet!)
